Replacing a tanking system

Ask a question

Traditional forms of waterproofing, such as basement tanking, can be effective if installed correctly. Over time however, it is not uncommon for traditional tanking systems to fail.

There are a variety of internal and external basement waterproofing systems to choose from. The video above shows an example of a cementitious tanking system that has been pushed away from the wall due to a build up of water (hydrostatic) pressure. The tanking system will be replaced with a combination of cavity wall membranes, drainage channels and sump pumps to ensure a waterproof environment. These modern waterproofing systems will manage and control water as opposed to simply holding it back.
