What is a cavity wall membrane?

Our cavity wall membrane is an internally applied wall waterproofing system based upon our range of tough and durable cavity drainage membranes. Unlike traditional tanking that works by holding back the water under pressure, cavity wall membranes works by managing and controlling the water within the air gap formed between the cavity wall membrane and the basement or cellar wall. It then controls the flow of the ant water to a suitable drainage (water removal) point or sump pump. Once the cavity wall membrane has been fitted, wall surfaces can be dry lined or plastered directly.

The advantages of cavity wall membrane

Our cavity wall membrane prevents pressure from building up against the internal wall structure and the air gap behind the wall membrane allows the structure to breathe and to some extent to dry out.

Moreover, it does not impose any load onto the structure or wall, it is easier to install, modern, cleaner, repairable, flexible, maintainable and guaranteed with the added benefit of having a regular service.
